1st Test · The Wanderers Stadium

South Africa's biggest cricket ground and the loudest. The steep, enclosing stands earned it the Bullring nickname, and the pace and bounce on offer at altitude make it a fast bowler's favourite — and a batter's stage when the ball is flying. Sandton, Rosebank and Melrose Arch are all within a 10–15 minute drive, so hotels, restaurants and nightlife are on the doorstep.

Questions we get asked

Why don't the SA v England cricket packages include tickets?

For the England tour we sell hotel packages: a 3, 4 or 5 star hotel close to each ground, a Field Trip contact on call, and match-day transfers and access advice on request. Tell us where you want to sit and we will advise the best route in.

What do I get that I couldn't book myself?

Hotels chosen and held for proximity to the ground rather than price alone, a single point of contact for the whole tour, match-day logistics, and the ability to link several matches into one itinerary. For groups and corporate bookings we handle the rooming list, transfers and billing as one account.

Is Field Trip an official agent or partner of any tournament, league or governing body?

No. Field Trip is an independent South African sports travel operator. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official agent of any tournament, league, club, union or governing body. We source match tickets and hospitality through licensed trade suppliers and debenture holders, and we show you the ticket category and the delivery method before you pay.

Are your prices in Rand, and are they per person?

Yes. Every price on the site is per person in South African Rand, based on two people sharing unless it is marked single. Quotes are held against a published exchange rate until the date shown on your quote, and may be re-quoted if rates move materially before you pay.

Do you handle corporate and group bookings?

Yes. Groups, suites and branded hospitality for South African companies, from a table of eight to a forty-person weekend. Use the enquiry form and choose the 20+ / corporate group size, or WhatsApp us and we will build it by hand.
